The scene is certainly not dead. Far from it. You just need to be able to negotiate an ever-changing environment which even natives have a hard time doing. Another factor is, to be frank, xenophobia. Korean girls can be weird about foreigners and they are quite different from Singaporean girls in this respect. Generally speaking, Korean women tend to be somewhat Asia-centric and less open to Western men.

If anyone has suggestions on a good format for a guide to newbs, I am all ears.
