Touristy hawker centres like East Coast Park and Newton sure overpriced.

Nowadays HDB don't build new hawker centres liao.
Mostly air conditioned food courts in the new estates.
Your S$4.00 fishball noodles I think S$1.00 goes to the air con expenditure.

Only the hawker centres in the very old estates still have reasonable pricing.
S$2.50 for chicken rice or fishball noodles is very fair in 2014.

Also for the past ten years I observed F&B prices in Bangkok and HCMC are no longer value for money.
Street stalls no count hor.
KNN just look at the KFC and McDonald's pricing.

Pussy and F&B price all up up up.
Only can blame ownself never study more England books when young as play too much marbles and football.
