Hmm.. I reckon stingy is not an appropriate word to use.
Taking a cab is a Singaporean culture like ordering coffee set at Ya Kun or ToastBox.
Ask yourself.. do you tip the staff or ask him to keep the change at the counter?
Having said that, I believe most Singaporeans are generous in tipping when they travel overseas.
