For the 2nd part...yes, it is a really sad, sad world we are living in...there are many problems in our lives which we can't resolve just by ourselves & need the help & co-operation of others...we are dependent on others for many of our needs too...so many a times, we find ourselves having to please others 1st before pleasing ourselves...sigh
