I think it would be awkward for cong an to raid 5-star hotels so I doubt it happens. But they do have have a strict policy in place. Having guests is not a problem.... provided they leave by a certain time... I believe its 9pm. However, if the gal somehow manages to stay the night, they might stop her the next morning. Remember there are cctv cameras at the lift lobbies etc. The policy may differ slightly in different hotels.
I had a lady visitor for the night at Caravelle and they just took down her details and she left about an hour later.

I called in for a friend and somehow she managed to get in without any problems and assured me that it's all hunky-dorey/don't worry!
