1. Yes .. when u walk around there are many guides near the river side that will sell you $20 boat trips. You get to visit Can THo water market. You will see boats selling all kind of produces and will come by your boat with food and everything else. Take a sip of the coffee, grab some fruits and enjoy the sunrise. The boat should take u into scenic canals than meander around the city. There are also speedboat trips heading towards Cambodia too.
2. You don't need a guide, just check into one of the massage parlors there and figure what you want a la carte. Somehow sex transactions need no language save for a few hand signals. For price negotiation whip out a simple phone for you to punch numbers into the calculator. The simpler the phone the less you pay.
