Hey bros, posting this from my laptop from a room at Formosa. Really wanna thank bro nono for all his detailed posts and info, really helped a newbie like me.
Decided for a 2D1N trip, took the 9.10AM boat to Harbor Bay. Reached there, took a cab for 40k and reached Formosa. Although the check in time is stated 2PM Indo time, if you have booked through agoda.com or any other booking site, just present your hotel voucher and they'll pass you your cardkeys. They kept my passport in reception, so it'll be safe.
Went up to the room to freshen up and rest abit. Although I requested for a smoking room, no ashtrays were provided haha. Checked all the utilities eg taps, lights and everything was working. The only problem was the aircon which the staff told me that "it should be like this" cos it turns on and off randomly.
Around 12PM decided to go have lunch at McDonalds' near Harmony Hotel (was too lazy to eat somewhere fancier). This was where for the first time during the trip,i felt very threatened. There was this man on a motorbike trying to pick up a conversation with me, asking if i'd be interested in looking for chicks to bonk, and saying he has girls from as young as 19. I pretended to be interested and said i'll come find him later and asked for directions to the McDonalds'. He led me through some ulu alleyways but in the end he really brought me to the McDonalds'.
After an uneventful lunch, the same guy was waiting for me outside the McDonalds' , helped me to catch a cab back to his joint. Later found out it wasn't his joint and that he just gets a small commission for bringing in tourists. Was not sure about the name of the joint but friends have told me that it was queen 9833 (2nd floor, pink walls, hiding behind a small food store). OKT spoke basic english, which was a relief. Showed me a few girls and decided to pick a SYT for 800k overnight. OKT says she will be available from 3PM since she returned from overnight at 8AM. Paid the mamasan and included 20k kopi money.
Decided to walk back to Formosa. I picked up toiletries and condoms on the way back from a convenience store. 3.15PM, SYT showed up at my door. Sat down and smoked first. She didn't understand much english and i didn't understand bahasa indonesia, though i'm able to speak a bit of malay here and there (heng ah). Long story short we bonked for 3 hours straight. Showered together and ordered room service dinner for the both of us.Bonked somemore till 2AM and KO liao. I set my alarm the next morning for 8AM for breakfast. In the morning we showered and I sent her back before having my breakfast.
For the newbies, even if you are walking to your destination which is a few meters away, taxi uncles will be all along the streets trying to pick you up. If you don't feel safe, just have to ask the bellboy, he's very helpful.
