Like i say,i do not know how bad it is going to be like in Batam as i have not physically been in such situation before. If i am also in the same situation like the bro in the link,i also may not be as steady as how he would react to the situation.

My best bet,that is to avoid getting into such situation.

Actually there is a Consulate of Singapore located at Sumatera Convention Centre in Batam Centre.
