Next time,try to walk in to DFS at Harbour Front when you are waiting for your ferry to Batam to buy ONE packet of cigarette there. You will know the Sillypore DFS still cost more than double as compare to Batam DFS.

Beginner's Guide for 1st Time Batam Visitor says Formosa Hotel wor...i am not saying there is anything not right staying at Hana or even any other hotel,but being newbie you have miss out quite a lot of stuffs if you are staying elsewhere. Step 1 in Batam,Formosa Hotel.
Jus becoz of price only, saved $40 for 2nites, after came back only realised i should booked in Formosa.
Why go to Formosa Hotel opposite to change your currency since you arent staying in that area? Opposite Fomrosa Hotel's money changer was recommended base on my
guide. Nonetheless, it is still good for a 1st timer to know where Fomorsa is being situated in Batam.
Since i taken ojek from Harbour bay, ask him to go opp Formosa thn later to Hana for the same price only, also want to know the Formosa place.. After that went few other times to same changer, its walkable distance for me. one time changed near morena, given same rate as formosa one. one time tried near hana, got 150rp less.
I have said this before,travel slow...dont plan too much in one day. Drop your expectation by 50% or more. If one travels to joint A and joint B within a certain time,he may not be able to reach joint C at the Best Timing. Best timing here means the time where the joint/s has their most girls.
You travelled to many joints only makes you tired and returning and not taking any girls from there makes you a man "that is hard to please" in the eyes of OKTs and the girls who sees you AGAIN and AGAIN. Thats how i concluded you have very high expectation in this trip.
