I wish i could, but your post appears a little late. By the time i see your posting,it is already the next following day. Anyway even if i have seen,i will be of little help to you as my knowledge on Batam is mainly on massage, overnight booking joint and perhaps a little bit on KTVs.
Hunting is not my cup of tea.

Totally agree with what you said. There are lots of "Sports" one can do in Batam to stay (keep)healthy when in Batam. (walking, bonking, treking, shopping, gym, swimming etc) More importantly, after "sports" can still go for some decently good massage to revitalizing oneself. Then will comes to eating,we all eat simple...no need to to every meal also exaggerating kind,eg sea food, expensive high-end restaurant.
I look at it this way.

Consider all the given option written by you and if i am in your position...,I will go on Sunday and applied a Monday leave. Reason,Sunday less crowded, less competition and it can be almost equates to more choices.
But if i am new and if i am not working on weekends,i will go on Sat and come back to Sillypore on a Monday (also applying a day leave) noontime. Reason is,i get 3D2N,to see more of Batam ,to see the busy and yet the quiet part of Batam on both weekdays and weekends. Best of both world in this scenario to help me gauge my future trips better if i happen to find a liking for Batam.

There are at least a dozen massage shops in Batam that has this type of "split unit" air-con.

Most massage shops opens at 10am too,but the problem is most girls dont arrive on time,hehehe...thats why a good hotel with everything-in is crucial for me. To help me get a massage/foot reflexology as early as 930am-945am,hehehe... i kiasu ma. I am probably zombie-minded when i just woke up,i will drag myself to the nearest massage shop or simply dial for one massage girl from those shop to come to my room. After the massage, after a good wash up,i should be in my 100% and it will be about 1030am Batam time,hehehe...ready for all good things to come in Batam.
Look at the opening hours,hehehe... (closing hours too)

And there are lots of girls in this shop splitting into 2 shifts, more than one could imagine. Of course thats if you have no plans for special and if there is a chance when a good one turns up,having special can also be of high possibility at your own discretion,hehehe...
