I know a number of girls living in Batam, with occupation ranging from office to private business to even *nothing*, who go to Singapore every now and then for 1 or more days, just for sightseeing. I saw some of them posting photos on Wechat or Facebook from Esplanade or Marina Bay.
Years ago, I understand it was very unusual. One could think that Indo girls entering Singapore could be only "fishy".
But now, I see that more and more girls have a regular passport, which allows to enter Singapore without any problem at immigration. As far as I know, obtaining a passport is not a problem in Indonesia, if one just has the money to pay the tax (not so much anyway).
Your friend will not have any problem at the border. Enjoy
