A documentary about the famous backpackers’ neighborhood in Ho Chi Minh City was premiered at Saigon Outcast, a public events venue, on May 5, local media reported.
"Faces You Forget" is a 30-minute film made by two expats, Will Snyder, an independent filmmaker from Texas, and Sean Lambe, a filmmaker from Ireland, over the course of one year.
“The movie allows you to step onto Bui Vien and watch as thirsty backpackers and hard-up Viet hustlers cross paths on Saigon’s vice street, creating a twisted ecosystem fueled by cheap alcohol, adventure, and opportunity,” writes Saigon Outcast.
Snyder has worked in the city for two years and spends his free time trying to find new roads that do not lead back to Bui Vien.
The video contains strong language.
