Fishy... funny. Not so much an anti-foreigner protest as anti-Chinese, really. The spill supposedly from a Taiwan plant, but the ones who get fired up here don't seem to distinguish -- as long as it's East Asian, good enough. Case in point, when there was a round of protests against China about 2 years ago, they went and burned Taiwanese and Korean factories. Also, a human effigy hung by its neck on the front gate of the Korean school in district 7. Nice message: if China doesn't stop what it's doing in the South China Sea, we will lynch little Korean schoolchildren. The school closed down for a few days, as did other int'l schools in D7.
