I've allowed this debate about price fixing, price monopoly etc to go on for a while now. End of story: It's in our hands, we can change the world blah blah. Singaporeans are very good at saying this and nothing gets done.
Reality is a lot of complicated and ultimately, we have a BLACK MARKET situation where the prices are often beyond our control because there are so many more Johns out there who don't read SBF, much less this thread, and are willing to pay whatever is asked for an illegal commodity. That is the sad truth.
The more attractive the price for the girls, the more they'll want to come, the more they come, the more AV or gahmen will act, the market will shrink again. Up and down in cycles, like property booms. I've seen this debate about prices popping up again and again when I started to check out the ML market, back then was $80-90.
This thread is in a way responsible for making certain commodities higher priced than others, yet if I kill this thread, everyone knows what will happen: someone will start a new one, the market will be have less QC, etc. So a necessary evil yet one that also accelerates pricing inflation.
Only way to resolve this is to legalise the market, which is never going to happen. Or the gahmen makes visiting prostitutes illegal, and that will kill the market too, and the really illegal prostitutes will be so highly priced like in some US states that us normal Johns will not be able to afford them regularly.
Personally, so long as the service is good, it doesn't matter to me. The price difference is the cost of a reasonable restaurant lunch and I don't go to MLs often enough for it to affect me. Except last week haha when I went a bit nuts.
As someone said, supply and demand. Factor in this is a black market, and there is no way to control pricing, sorry to say. Is it in our hands? Sure, whoever wants to just make a stand not to visit those higher priced MLs, but that's up to the individual.
Can I suggest if people want to continue this debate, don't use this thread - it's well visited but the most inefficient way to do so because of high posting. Start your own thread, put it in your sig so others can read it and keep it alive.
