I have been reading the forum for a while now as I moved from Singapore to Saigon 6 months ago. Not many points but was pretty active in RFR's when it was running.

I offered her VND400K for the hj and she said it was normal to tip the same as the room charge i.e. 700K. I agreed on a little less. Tips to her in cash and they do not accept credit cards for the massage which I found strange for a hotel. Tell you go ATM downstairs..

I worked a short time in Hanoi must be 6-7 years ago - Naemlo you were there then? I agree with your comments on expats here. Very different from Singas. But I have met some descent ones.
