Glad to know you manage to find Gold Bird after some hardwork,hehehe...that place not easy to find and yet it has nearly 100% book out rate. Next time,you just need to go to Batam Star Hotel,try to walk to the back of the hotel and opposite it the back of Batam Star will be Gold Bird.

I cannot describe Gold Bird to be exactly behind Batam Star Hotel becos behind Batam Star Hotel is another building but they almost STICK back-by-back with the hotel. And almost directly behind that "back-by-back" building is Gold Bird KTV. It has no sign board...which makes it even harder to find.

Good to know you learned how to walk from Formosa Hotel to Nagoya Hill Mall,its my 1st lesson I taught in most of my Batam beginner's trip. Go for a walk,get a feel of the Batam air,its people around and traffic.

Get a feel of the atmosphere there.

Dinner was taken inside Hotel at Tea Story as it was rainy outside,next morning breakfast at hotel. Many food places just surrounding the hotel itself,next trip if it aren't raining,try walking out of hotel front door and turn right instead of left. This trip I notice you turned left from the hotel front door more. Turning to the right from the hotel front door,you will see lucky plaza,walking straight downward after passing by Lucky Plaza you should notice a few eateries. You will then see Mickey Mouse Bak Kut Teh (during the day time before sunset) and New Siang Malam sea food (night falls) there. Further down another about 200m and turn right,you should see Da Vienna Hotel.

Along the way as describe to you above,you should notice quite a few eateries and even mini-mart. Enjoy exploring.

End of my 2D1N batam FR as promised. I will be going again on Aug/Sept but this time may try Happy 8 or try walking to other booking joint. I see in map Happy 8 also very near Formosa hotel,likely i stayed in same hotel again & will move around more within the area by foot. In this trip,we only took 2 X taxi ride from ferry terminal to hotel (40k rp) & then from hotel to terminal (50k rp).

I kind of like the way you planned your trip. No rush,take each step a time,no need to rush for time to so many places in one day as we all ultimately have only 1 dick. 1 session and 2 to 3 bonks from our overnight booking girl/s,we will most probably be 'spent'. By going to too many joints in a single day,you may have probably miss out on their best timing where all their girls were there. You might be blurred by the "too many" choices too.

Worse,if the walk is gonna make you too tired to bonk later,hehehe...
