I do agree with you on certain things bro. Incorrect and false photos are not an ethical way to advertise. Regarding heavily PS photos, my opinion would be that any sort of adverts will have to look good, and look damn attractive. Quoting an example will be the burger you see on Burger King advertisements look damn nice but the actual one you get will be a miserable shrinked up thing.
I guess they have to do some form of edit no matter what since they are out to do business. I ever talked to a few MLs and it is when they post a different picture (a more attractive one) but yet looks like them that they get the most business. Some MLs are just simply lazy to update the photos as it cost them time and money to get ppl to take for them.Some MLs who know, take nice selfies and these eventually get updated.
At the end of the day, the results of advertisements eventually falls back on their business and they know it. So depends on how hardworking they are.
