Plan B,if cannot change hotel,then the means of transporting you to your desire location will be KEY and travelling time from where you stay to the cheonging place (or most regular popular places) would cost you no more than 10 mins from point A to point B.
In your area where you stay,its where most good food places are. There is a BCS Mall near your hotel,one of the busier mall in Batam and it comes with a theater too. They are within 5 mins walk from your hotel.
If you are staying in Gideon,dont drink from the tap nor use the water from the tap to boil.
