Just by comparing movie ticket alone...average movie ticket cost about S$5 in Malaysia.

Thailand cost about S$7.
Brunei cost about S$7 too.
Above were the pricing as of today and when Sillypore cost between S$8 to S$13. (there are also more than S$25 tickets in Sillypore theater for some special seating)
If I don't remember wrong,my mum told me in Jakarta over 30 years ago,a movie ticket can cost about S$20 (my parents worked there during then),hehehe...and sillypore was at that time about S$1.50 to S$2.50 (smoking was still semi-allowed within the theater premises during those time).
*Note that I am making an "unfair comparison" when I mention Indonesia Jalarta movie ticket pricing 30 over years ago. It was also those old time where Jakarta airport has no air-conditioning (I was there).
