A newbie here. In fact, just relocated to SG, or "sillypore" as people say around here (I am still learning the lingos, abbreviations and Singlish), a couple of months ago.

Just want to say that this batam thread is very informative and the posts reads like a novel! Thanks to the generosity of all the seniors.

Being new in SG, I thought GL was pretty good, but reading this thread, batam sounds even better. Plus, I like brown sugar better anyway!

One of these days, perhaps soon after CNY, I want to make my first trip to batam. I am sure I will have more questions then.
