Hehehe...if you read my basic Batam guide,you would have read why i choose Formosa for beginners,hehehe...practically most cheonging places were just within 10mins walk away.
And the closest one is just a hotel phone call away,hehehe...

Utama Hotel area and Formosa Hotel area were more for convenient. I no longer pick Da Vienna after Permata closed down and to make thing worse,even Windsor food court also close for renovation.
(i pick Utama area as my number 2 choice becos the area is now over-crowded)
Seriously,if i am a foreigner coming to Singapore while cheonging is 1st priority,i would wish to stay at hotels near Geylang or any centralized area,and not near to areas like Woodlands,Tuas nor Tanah Merah Coast,hehehe...
