There are still some of those shops that sell the normal SIM cards but you need to register them upfront to make sure it is not registered under another name liao
alternative is to go Mobi HQ in HCM and buy from them & register at the same time, you can also buy long period validity upfront from them, thats what I did as I bought 1 year validity period (forgot how much liao) so that I do not need to monitor or worry about expiry every month........
