If I do not know you in person, I would definitely be very tempted to blast you outright for making such insensitive comments on an open forum in the worldwide net, but I shall not as I do not wish nor want to engage in such senseless online flame wars, which some others may find entertaining but unfortunately I do not.....
It is basic courtesy on a forum to respect others views regardless if it does or does not agree with your own, unless you had meant it in a buddy jokingly way, which in your case clearly does not, as putting a smilie at the end of such direct insensitive comment does not equates to such......
Asking a first-timer visitor to Wetnam to go cheong into all other touristy-not-so-friendly districts without even knowing if they can speak basic Wetnamese is never a good idea, unless you think that making such comments will be able to elevate your self-perceived online status as being all-knowing or experienced, but as I have already advocated above I will still respect your counter-views as you have your own reasoning & agenda here
