I agreed with your words with both hands up on this one,hehehe...which is why i often said, the most suitable for oneself is often the best. And Batam is one of the best place to find a suitable gameplay with the girls to suit oneself.
Even if there may be some fails in between but the damage were usually not big enough to burn a hole in any Singaporean's pocket. Well, unless one Sotong unluckily met a girl from social media or wechat girl who start stealing every valuable in the room. Or becomes a target of being blackmailed.
Not that such cases hasnt happened in Batam before (refer to page one of this thread post #7 for reference).

Those dates stated on the photo were the date i try to avoid visiting Batam.
I dont like crowded places. I dont like to compete with others.
The only
red dates i visit Batam would be CNY. By the way, this year CNY would be on 25th Jan 2020,hehehe...so i am planning my upcoming CNY trip starting September 2019 onward.

Its not restricted items, like dried sea horse or sea snakes etc which need to declare.
Bring to Singapore as a tourist shouldnt be a problem but import from Batam can be a hassle. As a tourist, i just follow this rules :
