Thank you for sharing, its useful information to me.
No need to get shouted/threatened at by touting taxis, dont even need a grab/gocar pick up point too. I am not saying there wont be other issues like language barriers between driver and tourist, knowledge of the roads in Batam etc, but its still a good option.
