You rich not poor... me poor...but Pham Ngu Lao is more attractive to me. Complicated? Dont think so to me. Maybe different mindset again. Anyway the room there I havent see 8 usd one before...U recommend empress b4 but I see Empress not nice as in terms of value of such pricing..and around the hotel nothing much to walk around at night..
Pham Ngu is more crowded with foreigner and more lively...Personally I myself feel safer walking alone at Pham Ngu Lao than walking alone at street of Malaysia...If really so scare of danger...i would suggest to anyone dont go vn but stay in Singapore...safer
