Whenever there is an issue or a problem that i encountered in Batam, i try to work around it or seek a solution. Just like i am in the forum.
For Hari Raya Puasa to collide with the 1st few days of CNY, i think not easy. But if CNY ever collided within the Ramadan month, i will still visit Batam. Like i said earlier, everyone there will be hungry. And in Batam, when they are hungry, tourist/s will have better bargaining power. Whether one has the capability to use that point to their advantage is another matter altogether,hehehe...
1. I wont change SGD to IDR in Batam during CNY (its the only time of the year thats not worthy to do so). I will share more on this as CNY draws closer becos i found out something new recently and how to get the BEST rate in Singapore w/o leaving my home,hehehe...
2. The Food i go for would be from places like Meximo Pub noodles, Bei Long at A2 (both opens every CNY, i checked) etc or simply just take hotel food. Those places price usually quite stable.
3. Hotel room more expensive, but i got FREE room stays, hence it make up for the price increase during weekends and public holidays. Not forgetting, i have discount card for food/beverages too.
4. The last 2nd problem, ferry pricing...hehehe...well, i guess you probably already knew i am already preparing for that as of last month onward. And it will eventually comes FREE. But need to pay S$12 for business class hence i am sourcing for the S$6 business class ticket as of today.
5. The final and last problem. Girls! As mention in my past CNY summaries, i usually book them in advance and at a non-increased pricing or just a little bit top-up pricing.
All in all, my Batam CNY trip hasnt got much difference with my other Batam trips. Just that i would spend another juta or 2 for firecrackers and likely to travel far away from downtown Nagoya.
