There are a handful of tour agents in the market (SG) now advertising for Batam CNY 2020 trips, hence i assume its going to be crowded. But as for competition on "girls" in Batam, i highly doubt it would cause much changes, as most who are there during the 1st 1 or 2 weeks before CNY 2020 would be uncles and aunties.
Do however note that most time, overnight booking increases their price about a week or so before the actual CNY day. Kind of sure there would be a slight increase everywhere else and on the day of CNY itself, and a few days after it...it would most likely be at a full blown increase in price.
