Hehehe...when corona virus 1st started, nearly every hotels in Batam are buying up mask. But over time, like a period of a month later, i notice practically most hotel staffs in Batam arent wearing mask anymore.
The reason?
Its getting too expensive to give every staff one piece a day. Some hotels tell me they couldnt afford such high pricing (just to please Singaporean). Thats even though they still have a few cartons as back up. Note here that one carton is about 40 boxes of 50s of face mask in it. They tell me it used to be 20k rupiah for a box of 50s too (which means i initially bought at the right price during CNY 2020 too).
So i suggest to them, only give face mask to those massage therapist instead as they were the ones who has direct body contact with their client. And as per Singapore government says it to the local public, wear a mask ONLY if they are unwell.
As for myself, i often believe prevention is better than cure. In order to prevent myself from getting, i went to some Batam backyard (or i can do it at home). Cut some of the below up.
Dry it under sun for a day or 2.
Squash them into powder or small bits and put them inside empty capsule to be consume at a later time.
These herb are super bitter on its own hence i put them inside capsule to consume,hehehe...the herb didnt get their nickname "King of Bitterness" for nothing. Herb name is called Andrographis. Chinese call it Ku Chao (苦草).
Here's what it does :
I dont actually use it for the above reason/s but more of helping myself to get rid of cold, flu, cough and mild fever. I use it like a more "natural anti-biotic", compared to those "actual antibiotic" from doctors. I have recommended people with diabetic to use it too,hehehe....and much often, it works like a charm.
Note here that it doesnt cure diabetes but more of it, is about getting rid of its symptom (diabetic isnt itself an illness anyway). Meaning to say,do not consume Andrographis a day before one goes to have their doctor's appointment. Or else the doctor might have a very high chance of not being able to detect you have diabetes,hehehe... tested by several patients before. (naughty patients fooling the doctors)
Its a Chinese herb, a very cheap one too. Which is one reason why not many shop sells it (i guess becos its just too cheap). In Singapore, i can only find 2 companies that sells them in capsule form. Alternatively, one can also easily find them in HDB void deck garden area but you will have to dry and cut the leaves yourself.
Side effect? Hehehe...yes, it has the direct opposite effect of viagra if overdosed.
* reason for this post is because i brought aunties and uncles to Batam, the sudden change of temperature in the trips's enviroment (drastic change of hot/cold enviroment) has cause some of them to feel heavy-headed, headache and even minor flu. This herbs works well for them.
** Lasegar and cap kaki tiga drink works too but not as fast and not quite suitable for those who are diabetic.
