I simply told her, this is Batam's culture,hehehe...like what it is in Singapore 30 over years ago. See, how Singapore has improve over those years and once a while, get a taste of the past also not bad. .

My experience were with those "buskers" coming to my table while having my food. There were once within half hour 3 diff buskers came to "entertain" me. Quite irritating at time.
