You think really far and fast. I didnt think about a semi lock down like that from Singapore, so was kind of caught off guard this time round.
I wasnt expecting it and came almost completely by surprise.
Anyway, learned something new today (with a substantial price to pay
) and will be better prepared for my future Batam trips.

When the Singapore government implemented something like this all of a sudden, everyone has to comply or face the consequences (14+2 days of stay-home-notice). And its often being propaganda-ed so nicely.
The only time when i visited Batam w/o a passport was during army time (didnt touch Batam land yet). 16 of our platoon's assault boat were lost during the hazing weather time during night time. We were later guide back to Singapore sea by the fisherman there. Poor navigation,hehehe...
