I had a better experience with a HC lady years ago. I was using new banknotes and as you know, they tend to stick together. So I accidentally gave her an extra $50 note (normal fee was $100). Only realised it when I got home.
I went back to her soon after and the first thing she did when she saw me was to want to return the money. I was impressed by her honesty and just told her to keep it as a tip.
She gained a regular that day.
