one good thing about these budget ktvs is that the girls there are very friendly. if you go to expensive ktvs, there are many pretty girls and they are called gong zhu 公主. they expect you to tip a lot and most of them are very tao/ snobbish. getting 3-5k rmb a night is very common for them.
however, in budget ktvs, they dun get big fish to splash money all the time. so they are more modest and friendly. you need to be patient, go through a few rounds and find the few pretty ones. the girls there can be very nice to you, go shopping, dinner or short tour with you without asking for any money. of course you pay for the expenses and may be some tips if you like the girl.
