If you kuailan and piss them off, then they will really find something to charge you with like whether any porno in your phone.

They will not charge the FL/ML for prostitution per se, but for working without a permit (for PR on dependent pass) or not complying with their social/student passes. They will charge the MP for not complying with their business license. As a client they will not be able to charge you with buying the services as you can always claim that she offered you, unless you force yourself on her, then its rape.

What is illegal?
It is illegal to live off the earnings of a prostitute unless you are a legal GL brothel. This is why many promoters on SBF go to great lengths to say they are not OKT.
It is illegal to solicit for business.
It is illegal to promote the services of a prostitute online, which is why many of the SBF advertisers are not based in SG.

If the ML/FL have a pink NRIC, and operate out of a condo or hotel or better yet a SOHO setup, there is nothing much the MIB can do since it is not illegal to offer prostitution services as personal services provided you don't disrupt the peace for example have a queue of clients lining outside your door. If they want to, they can whack the FL for soliciting through SBF or other online media, but usually its not worth the trouble.

So generally the MIB will only whack the MPs since it is a licensing issue, or whack the FL if they operate from a housing unit shared by 2-3 FLs resulting in a "brothel" situation.

To be safe, make sure your phone is clean, you are not carrying any illicit substances and just tell them you came for a clean massage and the ML/FL offered you the extras.

Getting caught in an MP is not as bad as getting caught in a condo. At least you can tell your SO that you thought it was a clean joint and that you fell into temptation. She might be mad but not as mad as if she knew you intentionally looked up the ML/FL in her condo. Then you cannot say you don't know.

Under Covid rules, as long as you follow the regs, that is the ML/FL does not see more than 8 persons a day, and proper records are kept, then it is fine. I visited a FL under Dome 2 once and she had a business registered in her name and even have a QR code in her condo room. She asked me to scan the code before the service starts. :-)

By the way, prostitution is also NOT illegal in Malaysia under civil law, unless you are a muslim, then sharia law applies where it is illegal and you can be punished for visiting a prostitute especially if you are a muslim. I am not sure how strictly this applies to a non-muslim visiting a Malay FL. They may whip the FL but they also charge the client for close proximity to a woman who is not your wife.

However you cannot solicit for business, you cannot live off the earnings of a prostitute, you cannot run a brothel. It is a bit murky but section 372 seems to also prohibits you from seeking information for the purpose of prostitution or to accept advertisements, notices or displays related to prostitution.

When the Malaysia MIB catches you, they will ask you to unlock your phone. This is usually so they can find your relatives and threaten to call them unless you pay a "fine". You can refuse and ask to see a lawyer first. Don't let on you are desperate or afraid, then at the right moment offer to pay a "fine" and they will quietly let you go. They just want to scare you and get the "fine", they don't really want the extra paperwork and they don't really have a case anyway.

Conversely prostitution is illegal in Thailand. Go figure...

So when I cheong in Singapore or Malaysia, I usually swap my sim into another clean phone with no contacts nor any incriminating evidence.
Bro tks for the sharing. This is by far the most enlightening and clearest details on the law and what happens if get caught and what to do.

Upped you for the sharing
