Some tcm shop will employ a male to do foot massage or he's the tcm sinseh or real tuina practitioner. And the same shop will still have ladies to do the 舒服 rub and release. No contradiction.
Actually you can just step in the shop and say you want a lady to massage you, if they offer you a male masseur. Nothing wrong. You're the customer and you can choose. No need to shy. They know what you're there for
Can't really tell from the shop outside appearance either. I have been to those tcm tuina that do real treatment (you hear customers coming to consult the doctor or tuina specialist - wear white coat type, talking about foot injury, giving prescription etc.), while the lady in the room is making me real 舒服
Some of these shop owners do such two-prong business.
