Only traveling between Singapore and Malaysia by land transport exempted all testing requirements, such move mainly benefit Malaysian workers, not Singaporean. They can resume daily commute between both sides, taking advantage of currency exchange rates and enjoying much higher living standard than average Singaporean. So basically government latest Covid measures is not means for Singaporean going overseas to spend money, it is for the sake of foreign workers, make it easier for them to come here to work. Just wait and see, Singaporean will see their income drop significantly soon due to large influx of foreign workers , mainly Malaysian. With high cost of overseas travel now plus fall in income, there won't be large number of Singaporean traveling overseas despite easing of Covid measures.
