....... I heard from some friends that cheonging alone in Bangkok is quite risky - many thieve and muggers there. Is it true? I used to cheong Batam / Balai alone, so I think it should be the same. Am I right?

Palazzo have 3 types of rooms. Superior and Deluxe in the older section of the hotel. And Suite rooms in the newer wing.
The photos on their site were taken via wide angle lens, so, looked more spacious than actual size !!!!.
Suite room at 1,700 with complimentary fruit basket. Morning papers ( never delivered to me ! ) at the door's knob. Good breakfast.
Suite rooms have 2 x slippers, 2 x bath robes and digital safe in clothes cupboard. There is flat screen plasma ( 21 inch ) on wall with DVD/VCD/CD player and some music CDs. TV, DVD worked fine. Kettle near fridge. Fridge is fully stock. Also got tit bits in basket nearby. Room has 2 chairs and table.
Room is newer with better facilities.
The Deluxe room I stayed in was cheaper but older furniture, worn carpet, old TV, no DVD/VCD/CD. Have worn out 3 seater sofa ( good for bonking ! ). Slippers and bath robes in cupboard. No safe in my room.
Advise : pay a bit more and get the better suite room.
The rooms are a bit dark , even with all the lights turn on .
If u follied Batam/Balai, u are an experienced cheongster. So why worry ?.
Pls take advise well from bros Ah Thut,condor, vmtech, norice .
Have a bonking good time in Bkk and Ptty !.
