The higher the heraichy (e.g. high court judge as compared to district judge), the more their interpretation will affect the final outcome and even future outcomes.

For any laws, rules or regulations to be administered, e.g. the rights of the female tourists, the victim (or plaintiff in this case) must make a formal magistrate complaint AND pursue the case. As it is all the poor vietnamese do not know and will never in their right mind ever think about pursuing their own rights (including spending $$ and engaging a lawyer for this purpose).
Thank you, snipeshot08, for your thoughts on the subject which i fully agree with you.

As for the poster who thoughtlessly assumed i complained on the board because i could not rabba rabba with the women, let me assure him that i have enough looks and enough money to get any local girl for that purpose or throw sing$ overseas for more exotic escapades.

Many would say that i am fortunate, and indeed i do count my blessings, but at some point, one starts to think for others as well. I am lucky enough to be born a singaporean and had the pleasure of making friends with people from all walks of life, whatever their station are. I could have remain silent and enjoy the fruits of my own labour, but no man is an island and all men are brothers. While my financial resources may be enough, but it is certainly not enough to share with ALL bros. Thus, the least i can do is to let my fellow bros be more aware of the certain controversial actions being conducted in the regulatory nitelife scene.

I used to pass by JC and thought those women there were nothing more than FLs. However, being a rational man who do not pre-judge, i made it a point to find out for myself what they were up to. When i stepped into the pub, i was pleasantly surprised by the women's attitude. They join me at my table, greeted me and requested to sit with me to get to know me. All the while, no talk of money was mentioned. After i finished my drink and wanted to leave, she asked me politely if i could help her by giving her some money to take a taxi home. I gave her twenty and her face lit up like a christmas tree.

Another time, i was enamoured by another girl and ask if she would spend the night with me. She agreed and we had a great time on bed. After we washed up, she asked if i could help her out by giving her $150 to settle some of her debts. I gave willingly.

Now, juxtaposed the above scenario at St James Power Station, where local girls go to. WIth your good looks, your own table and a bottle of XO sitting on top, wont women asked to sit with you? Dont you buy drink$ for them? And when you request to go to bed with them, wouldnt they obliged too? And after a romp on the bed, although they might not take money, wont they constantly call or sms you for your time daily even when you are damn busy at work, which is worse?

Down to the lowest common denominator, arent most women the same?

So what is actually solicitation? In vice terms, it means a WL approach you and ask you for money in return for sexual favours. It is a criminal offence, dated back to the Victorian era of hypocrital prudes. Are what women do in JC considered solicitation? If so, then better arrest ALL women in pubs. I and many other brothers will insist on it based on fairplay. Arrest ALL women, be they local or PR or tourists, load them up in lorries and then Ban all women from going to pubs. Justice and rule of law for all.

But what actually were those women in pubs guilty of that they needed to be shamed publically by being led up lorries escorted by AV officers, and then later banned from comming to spore?

illegal entry? expired visas? If so, i would support MHA's effort. BUT, more often than not, those pathetic female tourists had valid visas to come and go in our country! So what gives? What had they done wrong that other tourists or local females had not done before or are doing now? Why the need for bans? Why are these women single out and bullied???

I often take pride that singapore is a lawful country where rule of law is paramount and the rights of all are respected. We are not a banana state. But watching female tourists being loaded up lorries and being banned for a period of time or life makes me question my diehard faith in my own country. If a certain govt dept can do this to law abiding visitors, what other 'mis- interpretation' of our soveriegn constitutional rights will they twist?

Perhaps MHA should seriously consider BANNING ALL FEMALE TOURISTS from comming into singapore and publish such a law in the papers. Then people like me will not complain but follow the rule and just dump Singdollars overseas. Badly needed IR companies which brings in immense revenue to our country should also start considering their investments, for we have a heavy handed govt dept looking after our morals.
