A bit off topic as not regarding cheonging Batam..

A friend (cewek) in Batam is looking to buy a house in Piayu. That house is still under instalment with the bank, and she is buying under "take over", which mean she pay a sum for the "deposit & installments paid" plus renovation done, then carry on the remaining installments payment to the bank until full payment made..

Apparently, this sort of takeover is very common in Indonesia.

May I ask the seniors here, any of you is experienced in this and can advise normally what is the paperwork required for these sort of takeover, and how can the buyer interest be protected? This is first time my friend is buying a house, hence still noob in this..
