February 8th to 18th this year, I had the privilege of leading a trip to Xi'an and Beijing, both of which I shared on my WeChat Moments. I’m happy to report that the trips concluded successfully. This time around, my focus has shifted to discovering and developing vibrant nightlife experiences, following my previous explorations of Chengdu and Chongqing. I'm excited to delve deeper into the nightlife scene and uncover new, thrilling destinations.
Xi'an, once the capital of several dynasties in China, is a treasure trove of history and culture. Unlike Guangdong, where modern urban life tends to dominate, Xi'an offers a wealth of historical sites to explore, ensuring you’ll never run out of things to do during the day. As for food, the city's specialty lies in noodles, and it boasts a wide variety of halal restaurants. This makes Xi’an an ideal destination for those traveling with (or entertaining) Malays, or anyone looking to enjoy authentic halal cuisine. When it comes to nightlife, you can consider Xi'an a complete replica of the facilities found in the original Dongguan, with an emphasis on entertainment and unique experiences. For instance, there's the popular SN One Dragon Waterbed for in-person selection, offering a distinct nightlife experience. KTV venues here are more relaxed compared to Dongguan, with options to enjoy a carefree night, complete with hostesses attired in braless lingerie. When we visited a renowned KTV over the Chinese New Year holidays, there were over 100 hostesses. This is a remarkable turnout for this period, as many other venues tend to offer much fewer hostesses during the CNY period - some as few as 10 hostesses. It has been brought to my attention that during regular periods (outside of CNY) more than 300-400 hostesses would be available. This is by no means an exaggeration. If you're someone who enjoys the charm of hostesses from the northwest regions, Xi'an is an excellent venue, offering many charming hostesses from Xi'an, Ningxia, Gansu, and Xinjiang. Next, let me discuss about Beijing. As the capital of China, the city is brimming with iconic tourist attractions. A visit to the Great Wall alone offers a deep sense of fulfillment, and there are numerous other historic and cultural sites to explore. Whether you're seeking ancient landmarks or modern marvels, Beijing has it all. When it comes to food, Beijing's status as the capital means it boasts a wide array of dishes from across the country. Many KTV spots and entertainment venues are hidden away, so without the right insider knowledge, it can be difficult to discover them. As for the hostesses, they primarily come from the Northeast and Shandong regions, known for their taller statures and striking appearances. Of course, it's important to note that the level of freedom in Beijing's nightlife scene is not quite the same as in Xi'an—it’s a bit more regulated and disciplined. You may encounter situations where hostesses are suddenly unable to accompany you outside. In these cases, it's essential to be mentally prepared and have a backup plan in place.
