1. I not really agree. this is the chinese feng shui style.
2. this is also chinese feng shui style. (depends on the house owner's 8 characters and zhi wei also)
3. This is 北传 (chinese buddist style). i offer starfruits, durians, water melon etc. (buddah never say cannot and my mentor also never say cannot either.)
offering are actually based on certain thursday. (refer to the thai calender.) its actually based on the 'ruan' or solar movements.
5. Most Ahjarns or persons on 5-8 or 10 precepts light whits candles. (mostly on certain days.) some might use white candles all the way. 1 good example is ArJarn Khun Parn. He uses white candles.
7. this is also more towards the chinese 'I-Ching' in fengshui. in actuall fact, buddah is not really 'pantang' one. i ever re-display my altar during the chinese 7mth once!
8. this is because, the thai monks or should say thai style, is, they will fast after lunch.
