in Hong Kong or Macau it is very common to encounter people with attitude problem. i think it is very normal to them to talk that way. usually i won't take it to heart. tui arh.

however there are also many polite people. i don't want to stereotype.
haha yes that awkward feeling is priceless. sometimes you may even make some friends.
