Bro, I think it is some regulation with the customs to check certain passport holder randomly. Probably the % of checking a VN passport holder is higher.
I have a malaysian friend (SPR / Engineer / chinese guy) who also kana strip check and interview when we were in US for 3 mth training. He also kana ban from exiting the State he suppose to have training at. Cannot even go to other state within USA. He also have to report to the US custom office monthly till he leave.
But overall, I think having a sillypore passport is good. dun need to apply visa to alot of country. Save alot of hassle.
