The gal is correct to say that the kid need to attend international school. If the child is holding a foreign passport, he/she will not be allowed to attend local vietnamese school. There are a big group of vietnamese ladies who divorced their taiwanese husbands and returned to VN with their children. But their children are holding taiwanese passport. This is big headache as these kids cannot attend local school and need to go international schools. International schools are not cheap in Vietnam. One year schools fees can be up to US$10K.
