Bro Singviet you are right in saying the two main reasons for their plunge into the trade. In addition, the majority of them are here for their family.
As to your view that most Wls' families do not work,i have to agree to a large extent, although this did not happen in my case.
1.) My wife had a friend who came here to work to support her entire family of over 10 ppl in Vietnam. It was crazy!! It helps that she was taller, more voluptuous, and certainly one of the more beautiful Wls i have seen. Man falls head over heels for her looks and figure, add in a bit of KC-ing and they're damn! I know of this guy who gave over 30k to her so that she would marry him....in the end she rejected him...their family would spend money in vietnam like nobody's business and had a lot of "face" in their area. Parties, new motorcycles, good food, extravagant living was the way. Till today, she's still working as WL in Viet cos cannot come SG now.....still as broke as 5 years ago when she came here......
2.) My wife have another friend who also came here to work to support her family. This friend of hers was also not bad looking as she was the one i first set my eyes on b4 i knew my wife a few mins later. She also had to support her extended family back home. However, she knew that she could only work for a certain period of time. Her concern were not on buying the latest fads and motors but on securing her family future. Although her family did not work, she never allowed them to misuse her money. It was spent on buying land and building a dormitory for students to rent..near a school....and in doing so, she created jobs for her family...they had to handle the day to day affairs of the dormitory. Also she set up a internet cafe when it was not so common like now in vietnam. This was maintained by her nephew whom she gave money to study in Vietnam's University. Last i heard, she can retire if she wants, cos recently the Viet govt bought back the land from her for state projects and she got a huge sum of money as compensation.
So is example (1.) or (2.) a good or bad vn gal?
So, i think good or bad vn gals is about their outlook of life, their approach to living their lives and their fundamental reasons that led to them earning money from man.
I think to judge them based on their stint time as WLs is like saying fishermen are Fish murderers and are destroying the bio-diversity of our Earth.
My point is they are only doing what their job requires of them. Will you come across fisherman that tells his crew..."ok thats enough, lets not trawl the sea again cos we have enough fish for ourselves fo the next few days..."???
Similarly, whats the reason for a gal to offer herself to customers? Yes its money! To expect these WLs to tell you the "rules of the game" is like telling you,"hey you be careful ah! i am going to empty your bank account! So when when i ask for any amount of money remember not to give to me ok!"
Do we really expect Girls's to tell you that? Then they might as well stay at home and sleep!!
Problem is we guys esp singaporeans are so pampered and protected from the harsh realities of the world. So much so that when things happened, its never our fault. It's always him, her, them but never ME! In many other countries, people become street smart because they "paid school fees" and were cheated b4. So it became a way of their life but they only blame themselves and their own gullibility and stupidity and made sure they learnt their lessons! Its the same in China, Vietnam,India etc etc.... In Singapore, it about cursing and swearing at the accused and say she cheated me this and that la...cry father cry mother cry brother and sister...but after a while they find a new target and the whole cycle starts all over again...its so cliche to say ""be careful of the gal"" now.
So my point is a girl should be judged based on her life before her stint as a WL and her life after her stint as WL. Good or Bad, you have to find out!!
So from a macro point of view, it looks quite tedious!
Well, whos saying that any relationship is as simple as "i know you, you smile at me , let's get married" ????
It never is, never was and never will be as such!!
