Normally, the native Japanese engages such services by below methods.
1) Get a local adult magazine and call those tel in the advertisements
2) Go the the red light dsitricts, look for the 'information' shop - it will have some electroic kisoks in it where you can brouse thru the pictures, many brochures for those shops in the vicinity, and is usually manned by a local staff to help out in case you have any question.
But the main problem is you must at least be able to converse in reasonable Japanese... Else u need a local to bring u in...
If u are in Tokyo, u can try to go to the Kabuki cho in Shinjuku area. Nowadays it serves mainly toursits than the locals but you may be able to get some help if you bounce into some foreign helpful staff... I bounced into a Singapore pimp before!
