agree with you bro, my personal experience is that the vb usually think we want to learn tieng viet so that can sian other vb. They tend not to look at it from the angle that we want to communicate better with them only, especially those vb who can speak english or mandarin well. But it is these vb who speak good english or mandarin that can translate and teach tieng viet mah, haiz...Anyway, like what bro KangTuo advise, it is good to know more of their language. Got one time I was sitting at coffeeshop and this chio syt vb sitting next table. She looked like very gentle and classy (at least I thought so) sitting quietly there. But when her frens came, OMG I can hear her spout DU MA here, DU MA there
