Summer in HKG is also wind season (风节) and usually last from April to November, for this year's Typhoon, last weeks was the first to have landfall. The term windy used is like when you are walking along East Coast Parkway type of windy.

During last year there was a few times I got stuck in Macau as there was Typhoon Signal 8. LOL.
Those bros who are going to HK or China better not follow my schedule. Hahaha.
