for a normal viet gal that hails from the province and rents a room in the city, a simple mattress will be more than good enough. 500K VND will be good enough for a reasonable mattress. I think she will also ask you for money to buy blanket, fan etc. Why waste a Singapore ATM when its readily avaliable
