If you eat like tourist, expect tourist prices, if you eat like locals, expect local price at 20'000 Dong a meal, but you need to order in vietnamese or act out the food (e.g. say moo moo for beef, oink oink for pork, cluck cluck for chicken and put your hand together and make waving movement with your hand for fish). Its kinda fun. Otherwise, point at the menu if there is one (some menu have no pictures, but that is the fun part, you dont know what you will be getting!)

I suggest you befriend a local to bring you out to eat, if your local friend is a girl, she will pluck vegetables for you to eat and pour your drink, but you will never know if she had washed her hand or not(also check out the condition of the toilet where she had washed her hands, you will see some surprises hehehe). Ask her to bring you out on a motobike and you will save on transport cost (and remember you may not return if she decide to sell you hahaha, but no risk no gain lar, Aiyoh).
